Cyprus Health Tourism Council President Dr. Ahmet Savaşan,He stated that the implementation of the Press Labor Law in the TRNC and the passage of the IT Law as soon as possible is “an essential need”.
Savaşan noted that it is necessary to rebuild the journalism-news relationship in accordance with the conditions of the new era without compromising the principles of adherence to ethical rules and accuracy.
Noting that the Turkish Cypriot press, which has a deep-rooted history, has undertaken very important tasks from the past to the present, has both witnessed the writing of the Turkish Cypriot history and has been influential in shaping the history, Savaşan congratulated July 11 Press Day, wishing the members of the press to continue their services to the public in a fair, transparent, impartial, public interest-oriented manner and within the framework of democratic principles, while remaining loyal to the ethical rules required by their profession.
